Night’s curtain falls upon life’s stage,
Yet not all the World’s asleep.
Beware the things that shadows hide,
That follow in a creep.
Night’s curtain falls upon life’s stage,
Yet not all the World’s asleep.
Beware the things that shadows hide,
That follow in a creep.
I sit,
Vampiric shadows,
Cast by wondrous moonlight,
Eerily falling around,
Enclosing me,
Digesting me,
Characters seen,
Though nothing’s there,
I think,
I hope,
The mind’s trick,
The Devil’s trait,
Evil finds a home in darker hearts,
Thoughts,
Acts,
Such beauty that the moon does bring,
The evil creatures often sing,
Their playground,
The shadows cast,
Perhaps tonight will be my last.
Moonlight,
Darkness
Soul searching,
I find one,
Buried, deep within negativity’s caverns,
Scorned, burned by historical abuse,
Self harm,
Emitting dim, light, pulses,
Shadowed,
We must,
NO,
I must, remember,
That there are shadows in life,
But none exist without the warmth,
Light and hope,
From a sun.
Lost Soul, found.
I live within the shadow of despair it is no fun,
Just remember there’s no shadow,
Without the light that’s from the sun.
