On the long and dewy green green grass,
I wandered with bare feet,
It tickled touched and tingled so,
It really was a treat.
On the long and dewy green green grass,
I wandered with bare feet,
It tickled touched and tingled so,
It really was a treat.
Whether weathered or worn,
With life we are born,
We steer ourselves fore,
‘Til we drop to the floor.
Sitting in the corner,
Staring right at me,
Is a little spider,
Happy as can be,
I don’t like arachnids,
They scare me quite a lot,
So he knows that he’s winning,
And is safe there in his spot.
I’d like to be a boxer,
But I don’t like getting hit,
So as far as my ideas go,
This one is total……..
Dust, veneer thick, coating books unread,
Blinds broken, yet unyielding to the weak sunshine,
You’re weak, son shine,
Promises broken before they have even been verbalised,
Verbal, eyes, speaking tomes, volumes,
Paint yellowed like the nicotine stained workers hands,
As planes chase sunrise,
Boats consumed by sunsets,
Sun sets on the day,
On the life never lived.
I have too many books to read,
I don’t know what to do,
Perhaps I’ll start a new one,
Or maybe a new two,
But all in all the problem is,
Not one that’s born of greed,
I just cannot finish fast enough,
Too many books to read.
In the end we’re never sure,
But one thing to hold true,
Don’t sit and wait for ever more,
To hear “I love you”
Sunshine blues,
Some happy news,
The kids will play,
In their own way.
I’ve taken all my pills,
Now it’s time to go to sleep,
It saddens me that time flies by,
I’ve lost so much I weep.
