A stone’s throw from where I sit now,
Round the corner, down the street,
A place that truly I call home,
Where life’s occurrences would meet.
Not the place where I now choose to live,
But the place that I belong,
Where happiness and sadness fought,
Where I learnt how to be strong.
An empty shell, that once was full.
Fallen silent, from all sound,
Yet will always be the place I go,
To feel my feet upon the ground.
The thoughts that spill out of my mind,
The wishes I would send,
If only my life journey would
hurry towards the end
A precious gift we must not waste,
So stop and think, act with less haste.
I often shy away from it,
But I’m drawn back by the thrill,
Of making other people laugh,
Or cry and shout at will,
So damn you #poetry,
I just cannot let you be,
Without you I’m just not the same,
So I guess it’s you and me…
Like me please, just one more click,
It will really make my day,
But yet we often loathe ourselves,
In life, is this the way?
A tired sullen creature,
Staggered out of the UFO,
All the places that he could have been, yet
to Earth he chose to go
Thoughts come fast in darkness,
Close your eyes, your mind awakes,
The fear of resolutions,
Peaceful thoughts you will forsake…
