What I Know

via Discover Challenge: Conventional Wisdom

What I know may seem quite simple,

My knowledge is at times quite slim,

Yet this does not mean I’m stupid,

That I’m slow, or daft or dim,

You see conventional wisdom,

At times it has its place,

But at other times the gifts I hold,

Would give you a red face,

I can read a face, or judge a smile,

Can look deep inside the eyes,

And whereas what you know is all in books,

What I know will surprise.
